Shazkya is back from Ecuador and is once again teaching. We are all looking forward to an exciting 2018 at Shazkya's Grand Staff.

A piano solo by Shadalou S. Fernandez was featured on the 2017 WQCS Young Musician's Spotlight. You can hear the complete stream of featured musicians at the WQCS web page. Shadalou's solo is featured at 53:30 in the recording. Or you can hear just her performance on the Photos and Videos page of this site. Congratulations to Shadalou.

What I see in these videos, apart from the pieces they are interpreting, is the way they are enjoying themselves, the freedom with which they play, without fear of making mistakes, and above all the attitude and confidence they have. It gives me great joy to see them perform.
